Who We Are

Challenge has become synonymous with education, advocacy, and program development in our community’s effort to prevent and treat the disease of addiction. Folks may not be as familiar with our agency name as they are with the programs we have designed, funded, implemented and sustained to address gaps in services in Tarrant County and across the state of Texas. Here are a few of the institutions and programs we have helped create:

  • Because We Care Counselors, Fort Worth ISD
  • The Campus (formerly Tarrant Youth Recovery Campus), MHMR
  • Family Drug Court
  • Challenge Institute
  • Closing the Addiction Gap — Treat Texas
  • Drug Free Community Coalitions

Responding to substance abuse and addiction in Tarrant County, Challenge serves our community in a myriad of ways including: prevention, planning and advocacy programs, collaboration with other youth serving and substance abuse prevention and treatment organizations, changing community norms with environmental strategies, and by collecting and disseminating data on drug and alcohol trends and related problems.
